Marietta Varveri was born in Athens in 1987. She graduated from “Varvakio Lyceum” with honors. She studied Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating again with honors. She did postgraduate studies on Corporate and Financial Law at the University of Glasgow (LL.M with merit) and the topic of her dissertation was the practice and regulation of short-selling in the markets. She has also attended the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin for two semesters (2007-2008), as a fellow of the Erasmus programme.

She is admitted before the Supreme Court and has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2012 – also at that time she joined Spyropoulos Law Firm.
