BIOGRAPHY

Sophia Spyropoulou is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy at the National & Kapodestrian University of Athens (2003 – 2007).

Sophia Spyropoulou is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy at the National & Kapodestrian University of Athens (2003 – 2007).

She has undertaken audiovisual translation of various productions (comedies, crime stories, documentaries) as well as the translation of written material from English to Greek and vice versa.

She specializes in subtitling programs for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Audience.

She has worked as a Professor at the Automation Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Messolonghi (2010 – 2011), delivering theory and practice courses.

She collaborates as a translator for the electronic magazine “The Art of Crime”, by the Laboratory of Penal and Criminological Research of the University of Athens (www.theartofcrime.gr).

She has been a member of non – profit organization TESOL Greece for the development of new teaching methods of the English language.
